We are pleased to announce that Citizens Community Federal N.A. (CCFBank) will acquire Wells Federal Bank in August, 2017.  CCFBank is committed to providing you great customer service and products.

To help guide you through this transition, we would like to make you aware of the upcoming conversion details. We want to assure you we have been and will continue to work closely with the Wells Federal Bank team members to make the changeover as easy and seamless as possible.

The information below highlights dates and details regarding the conversion of your accounts to CCFBank. We offer innovative financial services designed to make banking easier and more convenient than ever. CCFBank is dedicated to delivering excellence and making your banking relationship simple. That being said, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the products and services we offer and to use this information as a reference point.

Conversion Weekend: August 25-27

Conversion Of All Accounts and Services: Wells Federal Bank will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25 and reopen as CCFBank on Monday, August 28 at 8:30 a.m.  All Wells Federal locations will be closed on Saturday, August 26 for conversion changes. Regular Saturday hours will resume on September 2.  

Online Banking and Bill Pay will be unavailable from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25 to 8:00 a.m. Monday, August 28.  Wells Federal mobile banking will no longer be available after Friday,  August 25.  

August 25:
Start to use CCFBank debit card.
For more information about your new CCFBank debit card see the important information tab below.

August 28:
Start to use CCFBank online and mobile banking.
Use your existing online banking credentials to login.

Important Information

  • Account Numbers: Your account number(s) will not change
  • Routing Number: You may continue to use your current routing number after the merger with CCFBank even though CCFBank customer communication indicated the need for you to change to CCFBank’s routing number. Both routing numbers will work after the merger is completed. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this may have caused you.  
  • Account Statements: A final Wells Federal Bank statement will be mailed August 25. After that your first CCFBank statement will be generated in September.
  • ATM’s: There will be no changes to your ATM access. For your convenience, CCFBank is part of Alliance One – a surcharge free ATM Network. This means you can use your CCFBank Debit Card at thousands of nationwide ATM’s for free.  
  • Certificates of Deposit: All CDs will automatically transfer to CCFBank. Interest rates and terms will not change before the maturity date. Renewal notices will be sent from CCFBank when your CDs mature.
  • Checks: Continue to use your Wells Federal Bank checks as you always have until you need to reorder more. When you need new checks, contact a CCFBank office to plan an order with the new routing and institution information.
  • Debit cards: If you currently have a Wells Federal Bank debit card, a new CCFBank debit card will be mailed to you. You will receive the card prior to August 25. Your new Visa debit card will be issued with the newest fraud prevention technology referred to as “Chip Enabled”. You can use your card at both Chip and non-Chip terminals as well as with and without your PIN. 
    • August 25: Start using your CCFBank Debit card. Your new CCFBank Visa debit card has the following limits in place:
      PIN Point of Sale/ATM Withdrawal
      > $520 per day (each day begins at 6:00 p.m. CST)
          > HSA Cards will have no ATM withdrawal access.

      Consumer Card Signature Point of Sale
      > $1,500 (may be pending at any given time)

      Business Card Signature Point of Sale
      >$4,500 (may be pending at any given time)

      For your security, CCFBank participates in Visa Alerts. To help you monitor purchases on your card, you may set up custom alerts by visiting visa.com/purchasealerts.

CCFBank also monitors your card in real time for suspicious activity. If any suspicious transactions are detected, you will receive an automated phone call from our Fraud Detection Department to validate the legitimacy of the transaction(s).

  • Automatic Payments and Direct Deposits (ACH): Please contact your employers and any companies you have automatic payments or deposits set up with to update your routing and account number for transactions after August 25. CCFBank’s routing number is 291880330
  • eStatements: If you are currently enrolled in eStatements you will need to sign up again.
         1) Log in to Online Banking
         2) Click on the Profile
         3) Click on Edit next to Electronic Statements
         4) Select eStatement for the accounts you wish to enroll
              a. Click and read the Terms and Conditions
              b. Obtain the confirmation code and enter in the prompted field
              c. Click Save to complete your registration
         Accessing eStatements
    1) Log into Online banking
         2) Select the accounts you would like to view
         3) Click Documents as the top of the screen
         4) Select the Documents type of eStatements
         5) Select Checking eStatements Documents type
         6) Select the date range
         7) Click Submit  

  • FDIC Insurance Coverage: If your transfer of deposits from Wells Federal to CCFBank causes your deposit at CCFBank to exceed $250,000, your excess deposits will be insured by the FDIC for six months from August 25, 2017. If you have specific concerns, contact your local CCFBank branch. To calculate ways to maximize your coverage, please visit the following FDIC website: fdic.gov/edie

  • Loans, Lines of Credit and Mortgages: All loans will be transferred to CCFBank. Interest rates and terms will not change on your current loan. After August 25 you will make loan payments to CCFBank.
  • Mobile Banking: CCFBank’s mobile banking app can be found on the Apple App Store or on Google Paly. On the app you can view account balances in real time, transfer funds between accounts, pay bills and find nearby ATM’s and branch locations. CCFBank’s mobile app is also set up to utilize text message transfers, and other services.
  • Mobile Deposit: Within the CCFBank mobile app you can deposit your checks without ever needing to go to the bank. With CCFMobile Deposit it’s as easy as Tap, Snap, Deposit.
  • Night Depository ( Night Drop): Use the night depository located at all drive-thru locations for after hour deposits. Drop your deposit off at one of our secure drop-off sites.
  • Safe Deposit Box: Your important documents and valuables will stay safe in your current safe deposit box(es). Your key will continue to be used to access your box(es).
  • Telephone Banking: Don’t have a smart phone or unable to get on the internet frequently? No problem. With telephone banking you can access account information via your phone.
        1) Call (877) 722-2523
        2) Enter “1” for Activation and Account Information
        3) As prompted, enter account number and “1” (Checking) or “2” (Savings) and    
            your Personal Identification Number (PIN)
        4) To protect your identity, you will then be prompted to change the PIN

    Once logged in, you will be prompted to enroll in Mobile Banking and eStatements. If you are currently enrolled in online banking you may be asked to change your password.

  • CCFBank Mobile Banking App:
    1) Download from Google Play/Apple App Store
    2) Login with the same user ID and password as Online Banking

            Q: What is conversion weekend?
            A: The conversion weekend is the time we will transition your account information from Wells
                 Federal Bank to CCFBank.

            Q: What does this conversion mean for me?
            A: You will see the same excellent service and commitment to your financial needs.

            Q: Will I get a free check order? Do I need new checks?
            A: You will not be provided with a free check order as you will be able to continue using your
                Wells Federal Bank checks.

            A: Consumer online banking will be disabled on Friday, August 25, at 4:00 p.m. CST.

            Q: What time is your daily “cut-off” for current day transactions in branch?
            A: CCFBank does not have a “cut-off” time during the day. All transactions processed before 7
                p.m. will be posted on that business day.

            Q: Will bill pay information be transferred?
            A: Yes, customer bill pay information will migrate to the new CCFBank online banking system.

            Q: Will external transfers be transferred?
            A: External transfers will not be transferred, but CCFBank does offer account to account
                service via bill pay. This service works the same as the external transfer service.

            Q: Will internal transfers done in online banking be transferred?
            A: Yes, the internal transfers that customers have set up in online banking will be transferred to
                the CCFBank online system.

            Q: Will the Wells Federal branches be closed for the conversion?
            A: All branches of Wells Federal Bank will be closed Saturday, August 26, 2017 for computer
